Tom Doring

Tom Doring was appointed President of the Americas at the Ammega Group in August, 2019. He also serves on the company’s Group Executive Committee. He has direct responsibility for leading the core businesses of Ammeraal Beltech, Jason Industrial and Megadyne in North America and Central and South America.

Prior to joining the Ammega Group, Tom served as Chief Strategic Officer and head of Global R&D for Southwire Corporation, the second-largest wire and cable manufacturer in the world. In this role, he was directly responsible for the company’s strategic direction, inclusive of organic and inorganic initiatives.

Prior to Southwire, Tom was President of Vacon, Inc., a fast-growing industrial technology company, and led the commercial integration of Vacon into Danfoss when it was acquired by that company. After a one-year global integration process, Tom was appointed as Head of Drives for the Americas.

Before his time at Vacon, Tom worked at Eaton Corporation, a Fortune 100 company he had joined shortly after graduating from university and where he spent 21 years, developing expertise across multiple functions in Sales, Sales Management, Marketing Management, Factory Leadership and overall General Management responsibilities.

Tom Doring holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Dayton.
